This lookout forms the eastern end of the City to Sea Bridge over Jervis Quay linking the Civic Square in Wellington with the harbour front and Frank Kitts Park. It is made of wooden planking and contains various wooden forms and Maori sculptures. There is also some seating areas allowing people to relax and enjoy the views over the harbour. To the east is a man made Lagoon. Very close by is the Hikitia, a floating crane ship, and a little further round the harbour are the Te Papa Museum and Chaffers Marina.
