Tumbalong Park - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

A panorama showing the children's playground and the artificial lake in Tumbalong Park. The buildings along the western side of the lake are very modern - even futuristic - and the tall office blocks of the business district dominate the skyline behind them.

Tumbalong Park is often referred to as 'Darling Park'. It lies south of Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour, just to the west of the business district in Sydney. The park contains a children's playground, sports field, the Chinese Gardens of Peace and the Exhibition Centre. Nearby are also numerous hotels.

Other nearby attractions are clustered around Cockle Bay and Darling harbour, including the Sydney IMAX Cinema, Sydney Conference Center and famous Harbourside for those interested in shopping. Prymont Bridge crosses the northern end Cockle Bay, giving a good view of the Sydney skyline while linking the Sydney Aquarium to the National Maritime Museum with both a footbridge and monorail.
