Safarikovo Nam (Šafárikovo nám.) lies to the east of the Old Town of Bratislava, close to Stary most. The square has some seating and grassed areas with a fountain in the middle. Just to the north is the Church of St Elisabeth (Blue Church) and the Slovak National Museum is nearby on the banks of the River Danube. There are a couple of hotels on the square and, for those wanting to live in the city center, appartments for rent nearby are often advertised. The square is well connected and a major interchange between bus and tram routes.
