St Ladislav's Church stands on the southern end of Spitalska in Bratislava. The church is part of a 4-wing city hospital built on the site of a former medeival hospital in 1828-30. In 2008 the church became the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Bratislava.

Spitalska itself runs norhtesast from Kamenne nam, passing Medicka zahrada square and the church of St Elizabeth (not to be confused with the Church of St Elisabeth (Blue Church) in the Old Town. Spitalska is also lined with numerous hotels, hostels and other forms of holiday accommodation. These include the Spitalska Apartment, Hostel / Hostel Patio, and Hostel Blues.
