Cantabric Sea from Bermeo Harbour - FURTHER INFORMATION
Cantabric Sea from Bermeo Harbour - Vizcaya visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Cantabric Sea from Bermeo Harbour' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Basque Country.
Panoramic views over Bermeo harbour and yacht marina from here on the quayside, or from the hills above the town, have earned Bermeo's reputation as a picturesque holiday destination. The bright colours of the houses which line the ancient harbour walls are distinctive, each unique and collectively a striking sight.
Today, Berneo is a thriving port and the hub of the fishing industry on the Basque Biscay coast. Seafood and the excellent cuisine is a key ingredient to Basque Country's thriving new tourist industry and is proudly presented in the many fine restaurants along this coast. Around the harbourside, you can see in this panorama several of the large warehouse-like buildings which process the day's catch, discretely built away from the scenic vista of the ancient port and yacht marina. A thoughtful development to allow the harbour to be both a beautiful and unspoilt tourist attraction and still function as a working dock.
This seaport town dates back to the 13th century and as such, is rich in history, antiquities and heritage. Our panorama of Bermeo Harbour has more information about the town's history.
