City Lake lies south of Beltsy. For a city named "Pools of Water" (translation) Beltsy is well blessed with several lakes. These include City Lake, Komsolskoe Lake, Kirpichnoe Lake and Strâmba Lake. The river Răut is a major river here and several creeks crossing this immediate area include Răuţel, Copăceanca, and Flămândă.

City Lake is a great place to enjoy a peaceful walk on grass covered gentle hill slopes and to take in the panoramic views across the lake, the woods and the city skyline.
