Beltsy in Moldova has many public areas named after its famous sons. Nicolae Iorga Street, out the outskirts of Beltsy, is named for a famous Romanian playwright, literary critic, historian and politician - also known as Nicolas Jorga. He lived from 1871-1940, was a co-founder of the Democratic Nationalist Party and had been President and Prime Minister at different times of the post-WW1 National Assembly.
