Cathedral Junction lies just to the east of Cathedral Square and ChristChurch Cathedral in the middle of Christchurch. Part of the circular tram route, Cathedral Junction is lined with shops, restaurants and cafes, and surrounded by numerous hotels. It also contains the Tram Station, where tourists can by tickets for the tram and arrange bookings at the popular Tramway Restaurant. Gifts and souvenirs, many of them specifically tram related, are also on sale here.
Trams pass through Cathedral Junction from New Regent Street. This is the last stop before returning to Cathedral Square.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Cathedral Junction is a 2 minute walk east of Cathedral Square. Follow the tram line as it curves north into Cathedral Junction.
