Sha Tin is in the New Territories if Hong Kong. Most visitors to the area come to see the Monastery of Ten Thousand Buddhas and the associated Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas, which contains over 13,000 Buddha statues. There are good views over the surrounding area, as shown in this panorama taken next to the new columbarium.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
KCR: Sha Tin East Rail station.
Leave the via the north entrance and follow the ramp down to Pai Tau village. Continue past the Grand Central Plaza and past the white Po Fook Hill Temple complex. At the far corner of the plaza a narrow path to Temple of 10,000 Buddhas begins to ascend the hill.
