La Concha - Seashell Bay in San Sebastian on the shores of the Cantabric Sea of Biscay Bay. Perhaps the most famous beach in Spain's autonomous northern region, the Basque Country. La Concha beach is 1350 meters long by 40 meters wide on average, has around 40 public showers, toilets and changing rooms. There are rental facilities for beach chairs and awnings and there are refreshment kiosks nearby.
Aerial photos of La Concha show that resembles a seashell in shape. An idyllic beach with fine, golden sand set in the luscious green landscape of Guipuzcoa region. San Sebastian is the hub of tourism in the local area. A metropolitan city with excellent visitor facilities and accommodation set amidst ancient and medieval buildings on the harbour-front, castles, military fortifications - all bearing the history of a thousand year old military port and trading town.
It is said that San Sebastian is not unlike Paris, both proudly display beautiful, ornate architecture on the facade of the older buildings, have elegant street lamps and have many bridges with intricate carvings and very stylish designs - all contribute to a charming and romantic ambiance in a beautiful city to visit.
