Wat Pho Reclining Buddha from feet - FURTHER INFORMATION

Wat Pho Reclining Buddha from feet - Bangkok visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Wat Pho Reclining Buddha from feet' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Central Thailand.

Visiting the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho (Thai: วัดโพธิ์) features very highly on the tourist 'to do' list. Most will just come to the complex, see the Buddha and then leave. In fact they arrive by the coach load. Taking the images required for this panoramic was the result of waiting for over 30 minutes towards the end of a day until there was a clear space that lasted for a few seconds.

This image was taken from the feet of the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and shows some of the Mother-of-Pearl decoration that covers the soles and toes of the statue. Wat Pho is known to Thais as Wat Phra Chetuphon (Thai: วัดพระเชตุพน).

The other panoramic images of the Reclining Buddha of Wat Pho were equally difficult to take without crowds of people. The were taken from the head and halfway down the body of the statue.
