Marshalls Beach is a small beach, only accessible by the coastal walk from Battery Crosby. This panorama was taken from above the southern end of the beach. To the north you can see over Golden Gate to the Marin Headlands. The Golden Gate Bridge is lit up by late afternoon sun. To the south the coast curves round to Lands End.Marshalls Beach - Further InformationMarshalls Beach is a small sandy cove nestled in the craggy cliffs on Presidio's western coast. 29 miles of trails and paved pathways cross Presidio park but surely one of the most scenic is this trail which takes in the cliff tops above Baker Beach, Battery Crosby and the ocean-side panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge. This trail runs parallel to Lincoln Boulevard and offers splendid views of the Marin Headland and Point Bonita lighthouse.Travel Directions and Getting There: Bus: Merchant St & Lincoln Blvd (29) Car: From central San Francisco take the 101 north to the Golden Gate Bridge. Just before the bridge, turn off to the Vista Acess and then onto Lincoln Blvd. If coming south on the 101 from Marin Headlands, turn off the highway just after the toll station onto Merchant Road.
