Dusit Zoo is also known as Khao Din, it is the zoo of Bangkok. The area used to be part of the gardens of the Chitrlada Palace that backs onto the zoo. This entrance to Dusit Zoo is on Thanon U-Thong, close to the Elephant Museum.

There are two other entrances to the zoo, the main one being on Thanon Rajwithi, and another close to Wat Benjamabophit on Thanon Rama V.

The other main attractions in the Dusit area of Bangkok include the Vimanmek Palace, the Support Museum, the Elephant Museum and Wat Benjamabophit (The Marble Temple).
