St Leonoards Beach is really only accessible at low tide, when it is possible to walk along the bottom of the cliffs. The southern end is accessed via St Leonards Road and a steep path, not far from George Gair Lookout.

Ferry: From Ferry Building to Devonport Ferry Terminal and then bus.
Bus: From Britomart Transport Centre with a change at Takapuna.
