From here there is a good view over the Motukorea Channel to Rangitoto Island, and extinct volcano, in Auckland Harbour. Mission Bay is very popular with tourists and the sea front is lined with busy restaurants and bars. This image was taken late in the afternoon and the sun can be seen low in the sky to the west.
