Grass Trees - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

Grass Trees (Xanthorrhoea) in typical Grampians bushland

Grass Trees - FURTHER INFORMATION

Grass Trees - Grampians visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Grass Trees' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Victoria.

Deep in the Grampians National Park you'll find a variety of landscapes from the lush green forests, panoramic outlooks from craggy escarpments high above wide open plains and here, typical Australian 'bush' scrub-land with indigenous trees, shrubs and plants. The dry Australian climate makes the soil dusty, so plants here are adapted to survive in low precipitation. The higher rainfall which gathers in the hilly, higher altitude areas of the Grampians National Park allows more leafy green foliage bearing plants to abound there.
