Ballona Lagoon is a 16.3 acre natural saltwater estuary in the Marina del Rey district of Los Angeles. The Lagoon was once part of 1,700 acre Ballona wetlands. Ballona Lagoon is on the 2,000 mile migratory route called the Pacific Flyway from Alaska to Latin America.
