Neila de San Miguel is a village on the western boundary of Avila province. Surrounded by forests which turn into a fiesta of colour in the Autumn, this distinctive Castilian landscape is beautifully captured here in this panorama taken out across the fields to the valleys far beyond. Notice the large boulder rocks dotted around on the countryside. A landmark in the village is a 'tower' built on top of one of these boulders - an unusual sight.
Closer to the village is ancient Pastureland, dotted with chestnut-tree woods. The region is growing in popularity with tourists and new hotels / apartments are being built in the area.
