Cala Blanca is one of the latest holiday hotel type resorts to be built in Menorca. It is found on the western coast and has all the usual offerings of sandy coves, sailing, diving, snorkeling and other water sports for those who can drag themselves away from simply lying on the beach.Cala Blanca is a little south of Ciutadella and Cala Santandria. It is one of the most popular resorts on the island. Most of the hotels and holiday accommodation in Cala Menorca were built after the 1990's as the popularity of Menorca as a holiday destination outgrew the existing hotel room supply. There are a few large hotels and then numerous self-catering apartments and private villas around Cala Blanca.
In the evening, most of the activity is put on within the hotels themselves. But with Ciutadella not too far away it is easy to go there to find a wider selection of restaurants and clubs. The diving and water sport centre at Cala Blanca offers a variety of diving expeditions or training, and chartered yachts with onboard internet access.
Travel Directions and Getting There:
Road: Cala Blanca is about 4km south of [[4513,Ciutadella]] on the PM-271 road. You will pass [[494,Cala Santandria]] on the way. The PM-271 continues down the island until [[496,Cap d'Artruxt]] and [[499,Son Xoriguer]].
