The red cabbage palm is a threatened palm species occuring in the Finke Gorge NP and an outlying population over an area less than 60 square kilometers. This fan palm grows up to 20 meters high and grows predominatnly on the floor of gorges fed by spring waters in Hermannsburg sandstone.
