Studland Bay in Dorset is well known for the sandy beaches, dramatic coastline and the nature reserve. Much of the land is owned and managed by the National Trust. This picture shows one of the bird sanctuaries in the Studland Nature Reserve, and the views over Bournemouth Bay.
The Studland Nature Reserve is on the Isle of Purbeck, and other attractions here include Old Harry Rocks, various beaches, hill walks and towns like Swanage and Corfe Castle. There are numerous properties managed by the National Trust in the area. It is a short distance from Bournemouth.

Nearest car parking is in a lay by on Ferry Road (which services the Sandbanks chain ferry crossing Poole Harbour from Studland to Sandbanks).
