The Pitjantjajara name Kata Tjuta for these 36 rock domes means 'many heads'. The alternative name, The Olgas, comes from the tallest peak, named Mt Olga in 1872 by Ernest Giles, in honour of Queen Olga of Württemberg. Kata Tjuta and Uluru belong to the most visited tourist attractions in Australia
