Terrace Gardens - FURTHER INFORMATION
Terrace Gardens - Richmond upon Thames visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Terrace Gardens' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Greater London.
The Terrace Gardens in Richmond rise up the hill from Petersham Road, above Buccleugh Gardens. The gardens contain seasonal plantings among various trees, and give good views over the surrounding area as you ascend the hill. The area used to be brickworks, and were converted into gardens in the 1880s at a time when they were surrounded by magnificent town houses. The gardens contain a conservatory, summer house and a couple of statues.
Terrace Gardens are next to Terrace Field and a short distance from the Richmond Gate entrance to Richmond Park. There is an underpass under Petersham Road which connect Terrace Gardens with Buccleugh Gardens and the riverside walk along the River Thames.
