Edwards Bay is one of the many little bays that line the northern side of the Otago Peninsula. The coastal road winds around each one on the way from Dunedin to Harrington Point at the far eastern end of the peninsula. Most of the villages on the Otago Peninsula are found along this road, sheltered from the Pacific Ocean and overlooking parts of Otago Harbour. The artist Lynn Taylor has a studio on the side of the bay.

Edwards Bay lies between Turnbulls Bay and Latham Bay on the Portobello Road.
