This panorama of the Devil's Punchbowl Falls was taken from the viewing platform a short distance away. There is no official path to the base of the falls from here, but that does not stop people from clambering over the rocks to get there.

Devil's Punchbowl Falls area dramatic waterfall about a 1km walk from Arthur's Pass village in New Zealand. Close to the waterfall is a viewing platform which also has some explanatory displays about the waterfall and surrounding area. On the way to the waterfall, the path crosses over a bridge allowing a good view of the valley.

Road: Highway 73 from Christchurch. From Greymouth take the 6 south and then the 73 east. Walk from a parking lot just east of Arthur's Pass village.
