Alexandra Bridge over Cultha River - Alexandra visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Alexandra Bridge over Cultha River' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Otago.
The Alexandra Bridge crosses the Clutha River and links Alexandra on the northern shore with Bridge Hill on the southern side. The bridge was 50 years old in July 2008, having opened in 1958. It is a steel bridge, and water levels of the Clutha are monitored from it. These can fluctuate rapidly as the water level is regulated by release from the Clyde Dam upstream. There is a boat launch ramp just upstream of the bridge.
