Cala des Talajer is one of the more secluded sandy coves on the South coast of Menorca. It is not easy to get to, has no hotels nearby and is therefore away from the tourists that flock, and stay, in the purpose built hotel resorts. If you are looking for a relaxing place then Cala des Talajer is a good choice, but be warned that the beach few facilities. Be prepared to bring your own food and drink.

Cala des Talajer is separated from Cala en Turqueta by a rocky headland on which stands the Talaia d'Artruxt. From here it is possible on a clear day to make out the coastline of Mallorca.

Road: Cala des Talajer is 12km south of Ciutadella. Take the road south to Sant Joan Gran and then follow signs down narrow country lanes to this and the other nearby beaches.
