Lake Roxburgh is a long, narrow, artificial lake formed by Roxburgh Dam damming the Clutha River in Central Otago on the South Island of New Zealand. The lake extends some 30km upstream to Alexandra and covers some 6km². This is the smaller of the two artificial lakes on the river. The larger one, Lake Dunstan starts about 44km upstream, formed by the Clyde Dam. Both of these lakes have become recreational and are used for various water sports including jet skiing, water skiing and fishing. There are numerous boat launching spots along both lakes.
