Cala des Talajer is a sandy cove on the Southern coast of Menorca, about 12km from Ciutadella. From here you can sometimes make out the silhouette of Mallorca (Majorca) on the horizon. The beach here has few amenities and facilities. There are no hotels and you should bring your own food and water. The headland shown in this picture separates Cala des Talajer from Cova des Moro and Cala en Turqueta. The Talaia d'Artrutx is on the headland.

Road: Cala des Talajer is 12km south of Ciutadella. Take the road south to Sant Joan Gran and then follow signs down narrow country lanes to this and the other nearby beaches.
