Haast Beach is a short distance from Haast on the West Coast of New Zealand. This long, remote and sandy beach is exposed to the rollers of the Pacific Ocean. It is backed by sand dunes with large pieces of drift wood sticking out of the sand. The nearby Haast Beach Holiday Park is popular with people wanting to go fishing or walking in the area, or just to stop over somewhere on the long drive to and from Otago.
