Pleasant Flat Recreation Area has picnic areas, toilets and camping grounds. There is a relaxing forest walk through dense undergrowth and moss-covered trees along the banks a small tributary to the Haast River here. This is one of the few campsites between Haast and the one on the banks of Lake Wanaka near Makarora.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Pleasant Flat Recreation Area is on Highway 6 about 45km from Haast and 5km from the Gate of Haast bridge.
