Arnold River Footbridge - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama taken from the middle of the Arnold River suspension bridge just as it drains Lake Brunner. This is quite a wobbly bridge, so taking this series of photographs was quite interesting. It was a beautiful still, sunny morning.

The Arnold River drains from the northern end of Lake Brunner. From here it flows for about 20km and then joins the Grey River just north of Brunner, about 15km from the Tasman Sea.
The footbridge across the river allows access to various walking tracks around the lake. Lake Brunner is becoming popular as a fishing, walking and water sport holiday area.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Moana on the northern shore of Lake Brunner is about 36km from Greymouth. Take Highway 7 to Stillwater and then Arnold Valley Road south to the lake. The Lake Brunner Township is on the southern side, about 68km from Greymouth.
If travelling over Arthurs Pass on Highway 73, then turn north at Jacksons up Lake Brunner Road.
