This small parkland is next to the main road through Coromandel, and provides a stop point for visitors passing through the town. On the main road are a couple of whole food stores selling fresh produce.

Coromandel is the principle town of the Coromandel Peninsula. It grew up on kauri tree forestry and gold mining. Today Coromandel derives a lo of income from tourism. To this end there are numerous motels and hotels.

From Auckland take the SH1 south, then the SH2 east and finally the 25 north.
