Castle Hill Boulevard and Fountain

Castle Hill Boulevard and Fountain

Castle Hill (Várhegy) is the location for several important landmarks and tourist attractions in Budapest. The major tourist attractions include The Buda Castle (Budai Vár - also known as the Buda Royla Palace, Budai Királyi-palota), Fisherman's Bastion, The Matthias Church (Mátyás Templom) and a number of museums including the Budapest History Museum.

This panoramic shows a fountain on the boulevard at the rear of Castle Hill overlooking the East skyline of Budapest. There is a gentle fountain here. This area is quiet, away from most of the tourists and a great spot to relax and rest. The Boulevard stretches along the whole of the rear of Varhegy and give splendid views of Buda Castle.
