The most famous geyser at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is the Lady Knox Geyser, which erupts at 10:15 every day, with some aid from artificial priming. The Lady Knox Geyser is outside the Wai-O-Tapu Thremal Wonderland Walks area. Another, irregularly erupting, baby geyser can be found on Walk 3 at the far end of the park, between the Primrose Terrace and Alum Cliffs.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is on Waiotapu Loop Road. This comes of Highway 5 at Waiotapu about 27km south of Rotarura and 55km north of Taupo.
