Bridal Veil Falls are near the end of Walk 3 loop at the southern half of Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Water from here drains past Primrose Terrace (formed by silica deposits left from the overflow of Champagne Pool). It then continues over a small geyser pool and past Alum Cliffs into Frying Pan Flat. Here more water joins the stream from Oyster Pool. The final leg of the journey is out the southern end of Frying Pan Flat and down the narrow gully to Lake Ngakoro at the southernmost end of Waiotapu.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is on Waiotapu Loop Road. This comes off Highway 5 at Waiotapu about 27km south of Rotarura and 55km north of Taupo.
