The Victoria State Rose Garden lie within the Werribee Park in Werribee, a new city between Melbourne and Geelong in southern Australia. Here you will find over 5,000 roses planted in four specific sections with designs including a Tudor Rose containing thousands of modern roses. There is also a Federation Leaf shaped layout dedicated to Australian roses and the David Austin Bud showcasing roses of 46 cultivars. To complete the collection is a Heritage Border containing numerous unusual and historic roses from around the world, which separates the rose gardens from the Formal Gardens of the Mansion within Werribee Park. The roses bloom from October to May, but are best viewed between November and April. This panorama shows part of the rose gardens.
Other attractions in the park include the Riverine, Werribee Park Sculpture Walk and Farm. Werribee Park is a fee paying tourist attraction, and combination tickets can be purchased for both the park and the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
