Opua is a small village on the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. This is a sailing community, and has a large and popular marina. Opua offers an ideal launch base for sailing and big game fishing excursions as well as playing host to international sailing yachts coming in from the Pacific Ocean.
A small car ferry links Opua with Okiato, allowing access to Russell. Opua also has numerous Bed & Breakfast and small hotels to cater for visitors.

Opua is about 230km north of Auckland on the SH1 followed by SH11.
