Taipa is a small settlement on Doubtless Bay, a large bay on the wester coast of Northland in New Zealand. This small settlement at the mouth of the Taipa River has several motels and hotels as well as the Taipa Bay Beach Resort to cater for visitors. Taipa is at the mouth of the Taipa River, and a short distance from Cable Bay.

Taipa is on Highway 10 about 310km north of Auckland. It is 85km north of Paihia and the Bay of Islands.
