Mills Bay at Mangonui - Doubtless Bay visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Mills Bay at Mangonui' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Northland.

Mills Bay at Mangonui is a small, sheltered bay within Doubtless Bay at the northern end of New Zealand. The area has a history with whaling and is still closely linked to the sea. Today there is still an active fisheries industry here and, for tourists, a well known and popular Fish and Chips restaurant. The area is popular for sailing and boating, and the village is full of old historic buildings.

Mangonui is also popular as a base from which to explore the Aupouri Peninsula and the drive to Cape Reinga. Just north of Mangonui is Rangikapiti Pa, a Maori hill fort with stunning panoramic views of the region. Also nearby are both Cable Bay and Taipa Beach.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
