Whangarei Falls are a popular tourist attraction in Whangarei. The waterfalls drop 26m over a basalt lava flow and were originally known as Otuihau Falls. This is a popular picnic spot, which has been brought and gifted to the town by Whangarei Businessmen's Association in 1946. It is now developed with viewing platforms and paved walks down the canyon, through forest and over a bridge at the bottom of the waterfall.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
