Otangaroa and Waihapa are both tiny rural settlements near to Highway 10 between Doubtless Bay and the in the Northland region of New Zealand. These hills are just an example of the ever changing scenery to greet those driving through Northland and show why so many people visit the region as part of their stay in New Zealand. Many of the small villages and settlement have bed and breakfast, home stay, hotel and motel accommodation, often in secluded areas providing a very quiet and restful base to explore Northland.

Take the Otangaroa Road (a dirt track) west from Highway 10, about 21km south of Mangonui.
