This little glen is near the entrance to the field at the Waipu Caves. It is set on a small hillock, surrounded by a field. It was a very restful place, surrounded by open pasture and sheep.

The Waipu Caves, near to Waipu in the Northland of New Zealand, are a local, self guided, glow worm cave attraction. The car park is next to a field and from there a leads into the woods and the Waipu cave entrance.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Waipu Caves are about 15km northwest of Waipu down a long, windy, dirt track. From Waipu take Shoemaker road over Highway 1. After about 6km turn left onto Mountfield Rd and then left again onto Waipu Caves Road.
