The Westlake Center is a major shopping mall and office block in the heart of Seattle. It is next to, and named after, Westlake Avenue and Westlake Park, which was considered to be the 'town square' of Seattle. Aside from shopping and offices, the Westlake Center is also a major transit hub for Seattle, with stations for Seattle Center Monorail, the South Lake Union Streetcar and Sound Transit's Link Light Rail. Beneath the center is the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel, a major Metro Bus interchange.
Outside the Westlake Centre is Westlake Plaze, which contains an open space with a fountain and the second busiest Starbucks in North America.
