Union Square is at the junction Union Street and 6th Avenue in Downtown Seattle, a couple of block south of the Westlake Center and close to Freeway Park. The square is at the heart of the CBD, and most famous for the 2 Union Square office skyscraper. Work began on 2 Union Square in 1987 and it was completed in 1989. The sky scraper markets itself as Seattle's premier business address, with offices near the top of the building enjoying vast panoramic views over the rest of Seattle and out over Elliott Bay and the Puget Sound. 2 Union Square has 56 floors and is 230m tall, the 3rd tallest skyscraper in Seattle. The little brother of 2 Union Square is the 1 Union Square tower, which is only 139m tall.
