Pier 55 stands between Pier 56 and Pier 55 on Elliot Bay in Seattle. A little to the north is Waterfront Park and just to the south is the WA State Ferries terminal on Alaskan Way. Alaskan Way continues north past Waterfront Park and Pier 62. Much of the waterfront of Seattle is changing from it's industrial past and increasing catering for the tourist trade. Many of the wharfs and warehouses now contain novelty shops, restaurants and bars.
