Panorama from Fort DeRussy Beach Park in Waikiki. Unlike Waikiki Beach, which is backed by tall hotels, Fort DeRussy Beach is backed by a park, giving it a much more open feel. However, still at the heart of Waikiki, this beach still gets quite full.

Fort DeRussy Beach Park is to the north of Waikiki Beach in Waikiki neighborhood of Honolulu on Oahu island in Hawai'i. Several large hotel resorts and a park back onto the beach. This part of Waikiki is popular for snorkeling as there is a coral reef close to the shore.
To the north of here is Duke Kahamamoku Beach while to the south the sand continues along the bay through Grey's Beach, Waikiki Beach and Kuiho Beach Park. At this point the hotels of Waikiki end, and Kapahulu Groin separates Kuiho Beach from Kapiolani Beach and Queens Surf Beach.
The Waikiki Shore Hotel, Outrigger Reef Hotel and Halekulani Hotel line the back of Fort DeRussy Beach Park, giving excellent ocean and beach views. Then behind these are Trump Tower, Embassy Suites, Imperial Hawaii Hotel and Waikiki Parc Hotel.
