The Ala Wai Yacht Harbor is at the northern end of the Ala Wai Canal, which runs along the eastern edge of Waikiki on O'ahu island in Hawai'i. The harbour provides mooring for private yachts and pleasure boats, and is also home to the Waikiki and Hawaii Yacht Clubs and is found between Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Isalnd and Fort DeRussy Beach Park.
The Ala Wai Yacht Harbor has 700 berths, 85 moorings, 1 boat ramp, and 20 dry storage spaces. There is quite a long waiting time for berths and slips. Behind the harbor are the Waikiki Prince Hotel and the Ilikai Hotel. The largest hotel in Hawai'i, the Hilton Hawaiian Village® Beach Resort and Spa, is just to the south. The nearest beaches are Fort DeRussy Beach Park and Duke Kahanamoku Beach.
The Ala Wai Harbor well known in the yachting world. It is the end point of the bi-annual TransPac sailing race from Los Angeles to Honolulu and was also the home of the Kenwood Cup Hawaii International Offshore Series for more then twenty years until 2000 when the event ended.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
The Ala Wai Yacht Harbor entrance is on Holomoana Street which comes of the 92 (Ala Moana Blvd) just past the Ala Wai Canal if travelling south.
