Mokuleia Beach is at Mokule'ia on the North shore of Oahu in Hawaii. The beach is about 150 foot wide and stretches for some 6 miles along the coast towards Kaena Point State Park. The Mokuleia Beach Park, where there are rest rooms and fresh water, is in the mid section of the beach. Parts of the beach here are protected by coral reefs providing almost year-round snorkeling and swimming in calm waters, even during the winter months when high surf pounds the North shore. The beach is popular with locals for wind surfing and fishing. During the winter months large amounts of shells can be washed up along the beach.
Coastline around Mokuleia Beach Park, a little to the west, was used in the filming of the plane crash at the beginning of 'Lost'.
