Malaekahana Bay - Oahu visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Malaekahana Bay' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Hawaii.

Malaekahana Bay lies between Kahuku and Laie on the northeast coast of Oahu in Hawaii. To the north is the Keaaulu Stream and Makahoa Point and to the south is Kalanai Point and Mokuauia Island at the beginning of Laie Bay. There is no life guard at Malaekahana Beach.

Malaekahana Bay is part of the Malaekahana State Recreation Area, the first native run campground on Oahu, and reportedly one of the safest. This gated park has 40 basic campsites and 5 furnished camping yurts for 2 to 6 people. Visitors are greeted by a sandy beach on a curved bay with good swimming and snorkeling. The park is home to many sea turtles (honu) and fishing from Makahoa Point to the north is considered to be among the best on the Windward Coast of Oahu. Just off shore from Kalanai Point is Moku Auia Seabird Sanctuary (Goat Island).

Malaekahana State Recreation Area is between Kahuku and Laie, about 15 miles east of Haleiwa.
